Parkour Training

Tons of of those new at parkour people in the world could remember how totally fun being a child was. Perhaps they remember playing games with your large group of friends as being one of the best ways to truly have tons of enjoyment. I know it's definitely a true statement when I claim it, so I wonder about other people that are learning parkour. I think it would be a cool way to add a little spice to your parkour training by involving some of these same elements.

A while ago I was in a major slump during my normal parkour training. I found that even though I still had tons of fun doing my parkour I did not feel like my progress was anywhere close where it should be. It was actually totally boring and becoming dull. I was sure that I wasn't the only one this was happening too though, at least at some point I'm sure everyone most likely goes through something like to this same thing. I kept looking around, reading and the Internet and found a tutorial that looked like fun. I started pondering about other ways to make my training more challenging, and my regime not nearly as gruesome and just overall higher quality.

Identical to when you have a teacher at your school who is entertaining but they also are excellent at really teaching you, I wanted this to be the same thing I had working for my parkour training. After implementing those simple rules my training instantly became more fun, and it was like I was back in the days of playing with my buddies once more. You need to learn how to change up the fun things and the tough parts to make a good combination of learning but also having fun. This will keep you going longer and you will ultimately get more out of it at the end of the day.

You don't want to get bored with on your parkour training because even though you should have been pushing yourself to it's limits, if it doesn't last long ultimately you are only hurting yourself in the long track. Keep these thoughts in mind as you train and keep putting in new and exciting levels of training to your plan so you will keep improving your skills and become a better parkour skilled person ultimately.

Parkour Injuries

Anyone ever got injured while doing parkour? I would like to think it's pretty safe but unfortunately accidents do happen. Then again you can break your leg while riding a bike, or playing frisbee, so that accident should only be something that happened because you were playing parkour specifically and it had to do with things that parkour forces or encourages you to do.

Don't be afraid to go all out when you are learning because that is how you learn the best. Find some good Parkour Training and let it rip! One good way is to stretch, like in yoga classes.

Parkour Is Awesome

I just started doing parkour, well learning how to do it, I wouldn't say I'm actually 'doing it' as much as just failing over and over. That's really what learning is though, failing constantly until you reach the point of not failing anymore. I think some of the best parkour athletes probably have failed 100 times more often than those who aren't any good and that only stands to reason because they eventually got past that level and excelled.

I've been looking for some good parkour shoes but haven't really found any. I think someone needs to come out with a specific type of shoe for parkour, but maybe they already are, or will once it gets bigger. Now free running is bigger in the US from what I can tell but I don't think it will stay that way, at least the gap won't be as big. Parkour is a bigger thrill ride from my experience and I think people will one day realize that and it won't stop them from gaining the love of parkour like I have and like so many others I know have as well.
